lyrics

Cast aside my foolish pride for this is all I know
Contemplated suicide it’s not the way I’m sure
Many times I pushed aside what others held so dear
Now at least I recognise I don’t belong down here
No place for me down here

Every time I look around they just don’t seem to care
People slowly drowning as they gasp for toxic air
Like frogs in pots oblivious accepting all the same
How can I just stand here
And watch the world go down the drain
Toxic rain

The rainbow has been overcome by darkness and despair
Morality and empathy have vanished in the air
Gifted people everywhere with talents gone to waste
And if I had my time again I wouldn’t come back to this place
Tragic human waste

Like many who have come before I yearn for yesteryear
For in my soul are memories behind my bitter tears
I burst onto this modern stage but now I want to leave
For all my deeds are shackled and I can’t find any peace
I’ve broken into pieces
So many little pieces
So many little pieces
