The Sun’s beating down, scorching the ground The rain’s not yet been here this season The Earth’s crying out, dry wind all about If only there was a good reason Rivers to creeks, the creeks are just puddles The puddles are all disappearing Every cloud seen that comes and has been Should mean that the wet season’s nearing Every year the rain blesses us here But it looks like it isn’t forthcoming What’s that I see, rain-clouds over the sea Now it looks, yes it looks like they’re coming Coming here, coming here The Sun’s beating down, scorching the ground The rain’s not yet been here this season The Earth’s crying out, dry wind all about If only there was a good reason Rivers to creeks, the creeks are just puddles The puddles are all disappearing Every cloud seen that comes and has been Should mean that the wet season’s nearing Every year the rain blesses us here But it looks like it isn’t forthcoming What’s that I see, rain-clouds over the sea Now it looks, yes it looks like they’re coming Every year the rain blesses us here But it looks like it isn’t forthcoming What’s that I see, rain-clouds over the sea Now it looks, yes it looks like they’re coming Coming here

As the Sun rises over the ocean Here they come again All around my head Whirring past me, whizzing by Just like honey bees These fellows really know how to fly Zooming here and zooming there But hardly anyone can see them Come back another day And maybe if you’re lucky they’ll return again As the Sun rises over the ocean Here they come again Zipper Zip-Zap, with his red cap He can roll he can tumble quicker than you can clap He’s the one with the potion for the flowers He loves the sun but he doesn’t really like sun-showers All around my head, whirring past me whizzing by Just like honey bees, these fellows really know how to fly Zooming here and zooming there But hardly anyone can see them Come back another day And maybe if you’re lucky they’ll return again Zipper Zip-Zap, with his red cap He can roll he can tumble quicker than you can clap He’s the one with the potion for the flowers He loves the sun but he doesn’t really like sun-showers Zipper Zip-Zap, with his red cap He can roll he can tumble quicker than you can clap

With the coming of the rain, we know that Autumn’s here again We can feel the change in the air From the misty morning glow to the Sun’s rainbow Shooting arrows of light everywhere All the waters rushing down From the mountains to the town Flooding rivers, creeks and water holes Then heading out to sea But that’s not all I do decree You have to brace yourself, face yourself, face me Leaves are falling, rivers flowing, rainbows in the sky Flowers send their seeds down to the ground, to sleep awhile The ants and bees work overtime, for Winter is very near The nights are cold and so I’m told, the days are very clear Winter’s nearly here With the coming of the rain, we know that Autumn’s here again We can feel the change in the air From the misty morning glow to the Sun’s rainbow Shooting arrows of light everywhere All the waters rushing down, from the mountains to the town Flooding rivers, creeks and water holes Then heading out to sea But that’s not all I do decree You have to brace yourself, face yourself, face me Leaves are falling, rivers flowing, rainbows in the sky Flowers send their seeds down to the ground, to sleep awhile The ants and bees work overtime, for winter is very near The nights are cold and so I’m told, the days are very clear Winter’s nearly here Winter’s nearly here Winter’s nearly here Winter’s nearly here

Starlight diviner, funnel of forces Cow horn deep under the ground Stuffed with manure, the essence so pure That no better brew has been found In with the water, keep stirring forever Until watching grass grow is twice as much fun Now it’s your turn to stir and to learn Five Hundred is fruitful for everyone Just stir and keep stirring, then on to the spraying Just stir and keep stirring, that’s what I am saying But some people just never learn Throughout the world, farmers keep burning Scraping and raping the land Cutting down trees with unparalleled ease Turning good soil to sand Chemical spraying, I hear someone saying Let’s keep making hay, while the sun shines Make a fortune today, drive life-forces away Five hundred excuses for everyone Just burn and keep burning, the experts are saying And don’t bother learning, just keep over-grazing But Steiner had other ideas Starlight diviner, funnel of forces Cow horn deep under the ground Stuffed with manure, the essence so pure That no better brew has been found In with the water, keep stirring forever Until watching grass grow is twice as much fun Now it’s your turn to stir and to learn, Five Hundred is fruitful for everyone Just stir and keep stirring, then on to the spraying And stop all the burning and stop overgrazing Just stir and keep stirring, then on to the spraying A new time for learning, that’s what I am saying

Coming from the dawn and into the night Both are now the same in their own way Mother Earth she brings the rain that washes days away Helps the Sun disappear into the sky, I wonder why Waiting for the equinox of light into dark Watching for a sparkle in the night It just might be a sign that is leading us to A place down in the depths of Winter’s heart A place where we can make a brand new start Coming from the dawn and into the night Both are now the same in their own way Mother Earth she brings the rain that washes days away Helps the Sun disappear into the sky, I wonder why Waiting for the equinox of light into dark Watching for a sparkle in the night It just might be a sign that is leading us to A place down in the depths of Winter’s heart A place where we can make a brand new start Coming from the dawn and into the night Both are now the same in their own way Mother Earth she brings the rain that washes days away Helps the Sun disappear into the sky, I wonder why

A slight waft of winter gently carries leaves to the ground It feels more like autumn, deep amber in colour is found Not much of a winter, Mother Russia would freeze you to the bone Just cold enough not to stay out all night on your own Out on a raft on a pitiless sea The great Southern Cross is your guide Sail through the mist and gather your strength You’ll find all the answers inside Journey of discovery Surrounded by water Antarctica snaps at her heels For thousands of years she has been here Do you know how she feels Coldness is not just a factor of winter and snow It can come from a heart that can freeze all the love that you know Envy the seed as it lies far below Snug in its own little mould It will bring with it treasures and secrets from seasons That a long time ago have been told Envy the seed as it lies far below Snug in its own little mould It will bring with it treasures and secrets from seasons That a long time ago have been told Seed of discovery

Midnight Sun 04:53
As the pale winter sun says goodbye to those watching I’m feeling the chill of a long night to come It seems like a month since I knew my direction I see my reflection it gleams in the sun If only the weather was clearer that day If only I’d heeded the warning I would not be out here and so far away While family and friends are in mourning The trees offer shelter, there’s no time to waste I must keep my warmth through the night I will sleep in the ground in the hole I have found In a place that is right out of sight Most animals know how to keep themselves warm When the cold hand of winter sweeps over the ground If I’m to survive I must walk in their footsteps And find a way out, if I am to be found alive Winter to me as a child was so special I remember the songs and the warm glow of lanterns Now all that I have on this night of the Solstice Is the hope that just maybe I will find my way out What’s that in the distance, I hope I’m not dreaming Soft light from a window brings joy to my heart I open the door, a fire is burning I’m happy that now I can make a new start Winter to me as a child was so special I remember the songs, and the warm glow of lanterns Now I have all I need on this night of the Solstice I believed in my heart that I would find my way home Winter to me as a child was so special I remember the songs and the warm glow of lanterns Now I have all I need on this night of the Solstice I believed in my heart that I would find my way home

Gather round and move into a circle Candles lighting up the longest night Start with one and slowly form a spiral Moving into the centre of light Moving into the centre of the night One by one we place our candles gently Then we turn and leave them glowing on the ground As we move away, they seem to get much brighter Like the hope that we have found One more year till winter comes around Moving slowly in a circle Listen for the sound of night Something is watching, listening, watching We know we’re not the only ones in sight All are watching our spiral of light All are watching our spiral of light Moving slowly in a circle Listen for the sound of night Something is watching, listening, watching We know we’re not the only ones in sight All are watching our spiral of light All are watching our spiral of light All are watching our spiral of light All are watching our spiral of light

Spring Wind 03:52
From far, far away, you can hear him call With a voice that can travel on air Wake you in the morning Yes, you know when he’s around His friends come and join him New friends he has found Song on the air, clear-blue sky Spring wind surrounds him, and teaches him to Fly on the air, clear-blue sky Spring wind surrounds him, and teaches him to fly Far, far below, in the tall green grass Eyes of black and yellow looking up above All the birds are flying, not a care in the world But just wait till nightfall Asleep, deep asleep Warm-friend Wind has gone Whip-bird fast asleep To his nest he has gone Climbing up the tree, a cat with one intention Whip-bird for a late night snack Just too good to mention Flying for his life, he just got away So difficult at night, all the trees are in the way Too scared to look behind Too scared to stop and think, until he’s Out of the dark into the dawn Until he’s out of the dark into the dawn Song on the air, clear blue sky Spring wind surrounds him, and teaches him to Fly on the air, clear blue sky Spring wind surrounds him and teaches him to Wing on the air, clear blue sky Spring wind surrounds him and teaches him to Soar on the air, clear blue sky Spring wind surrounds him and teaches him to fly

Seaward 02:55
Swimming through the waves, heading for the shore She still has a long, long way to go Moonlight dances on the tips of tumbling waves Still trying but she’s going very slow Moonbeams guide her way, up on to the beach She’s tired, she’s cold and she’s afraid Seaward is her name and soon she will be Swimming off into the night and on her way But she clambers up the beach, water rolling off her shell She’s looking for a safe place to rest A secret place, a special place, a place where she can feel Her babies will be safe inside their nest Seaward is her name, and now she has gone Off into the night and on her way Before too long, her babies will be following her From the shelter of their shells into the day Now they’re on their way, on their way, on their way On their way, on their way, on their way Now they’re on their way, on their way, on their way On their way, on their way, on their way
